If by chance you have not heard of Cabela’s new hunting game, Dangerous Hunts 2011, you might simply check the name and immediately suppose it’s a big game hunting simulator of some sort. Everyone have seen the variety of hunting game in the past, the type where you pick your weapon, decide on some camouflage, and waste a solid hour just hoping to tell the difference between bear droppings and a pile of earth. Yet somewhere among taking a shot at a attacking predator in dramatic slow motion and scaring away attacking wolf packs who have glowing red demon eyeballs, you’ll know that belief does not quite apply to this particular game. This version of Dangerous Hunts 2011 is better viewed as a game of survival first and a hunting game 2nd. The story puts the player in the role of a adventerer that goes by the name of Cole whose quest finds him going through an assortment of terrain around the United States and Africa to handle animals that have been taken over by supernatural forces. One particular level we were shown Cole emerging from an avalanche in the middle of night, moving across the cold forest and fending off menacing animals attempting to hunt him while he deals with environmental hazards, such as unseen game traps and a frozen over river. Similar to previous editions of Dangerous Hunts, you’ll play Dangerous Hunts 2011 using a unique gun controller with a telescopic scope and stock, as well as analog sticks to control the players movement so that you don’t have to play on rails. The red telescopic sight is nice, and entertaining to use. It is really sort of difficult to see what you are shooting at through it. In order to use it, you must depress the button marked A which makes the screen viewable through the scope. Keep in mind, it is very hard to see through the scope, making the game somewhat annoying. The new gun controller comes with the Hunter Vision feature. This feature will expose hidden things by temporarily rendering the game screen a very mixed up hodge podge of reddish colors that are deciphered by aiming through the scope of the gun simulating an infrared scope. For those players who had the previous version of the gun where the trigger assembly was located in the front, this gun is a whole lot better. The trigger assembly is now located in the rear of the gun, and the front has a pump reload. On top of that, all of the game controlls are customizable (unlike the earlier version). The gun is adjustable so even big people are able to retain the stock of the rifle in their shoulder while browsing through the scope, making for a realistic experience. In addition to the previously mentioned story mode, Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011 will come with a number of other modes, including multiplayer options, like as the Shooting Gallery like other hunting games. Furthermore, the game in general is exceptionally hard to play. I really enjoyed playing the game and i also like to play hunting games online
